Over the next two years, hundreds of Inova staff and physicians will be working to create a single electronic medical record system linking all of Inova’s five hospitals and outpatient treatment facilities. This is a lot of effort, but it’s worth it!
EpicCare is Alive!
Inova’s electronic medical record system – called EpicCare – is now up and running on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Inova Loudoun Hospital, and at more than 60 ambulatory sites. When the roll-out is complete in June, EpicCare will link all of Inova’s five hospitals and outpatient facilities, enhancing the patient experience.
“All Systems Go” for EpicCare Launch at Inova Alexandria and Inova Mount Vernon Hospitals
On June 28, 2013, , Inova Alexandria and Inova Mount Vernon hospitals will become the last Inova hospitals to go live with EpicCare.
The EpicCare Implementation Team is working hand-in-hand with hospital operations, physicians and staff at both facilities to prepare. It’s a huge task that involves hundreds of hours of training, appointment conversion, Command Center set-up, and technical and workflow dress rehearsals.
when Inova Alexandria and Inova Mount Vernon hospitals go live on June 28, the first part of our cultural transformation will be complete: with EpicCare uniting the System as OneInova.
